My wife
How many times have thee,
In patience and endurance
In love and compromise
Shed tears for me…
In the light that sprinkles the room
Your love brightens my day
In the bliss of the wind that caresses my face
Your love lives in me in every way
How many years have gone by
With so much to forget…so many days you had to cry
Each tear I will not forget, even in the last minutes of my life…
For with you we did both create
Two special loves on a special date
Miles and Sierra
How much love you gave
How much love you continue to give
Love you is the least I say and feel
Thank you is what I do each waking day
Happier than a fool in paradise, happier than the frog who became a prince
For my wife….she is always….my life…..
Will you remember today? We all die sooner or later, today is gone forever…but this moment you can cherish, this tiny moment of utter beauty, pain, sorrow, happiness, joy, anxiety, sacrifice, feelings of love to those of longing for something that will never come again. But even if you remember, what happens when you go…what happens when you are no more?
It doesn’t matter does it? Even history books will one day go away or be as obscure as the fading moment. What matters is how you live the journey, how you live the moment…when you realize that all things are just so incredibly beautiful and that you are so fortunate to live this day…to experience this moment.
The Sky Radiant
The Wind Silent
The Man Journeys
Into the land
Into the hand
that destiny had created
to be what destiny deemed
to be the One indeed
The One who became Free
We’ve come a long way
Days of hunger
Days of pain
Days where rejection would rein
Days where tomorrow was unknown
Hoping for a break
Yet given another sorrow…
Looking into the sky
Always asking why…
Autumn came too soon
Reflections show it plain
No matter…for unrelenting we were
No choices in the matter
And finally the spirits did give in
For they shared a secret they hid
That in the long journey they always knew
That we were always their hope renewed
Rain passing…rainbows appearing
We didn’t stop, we surely never did
Till the dream was real
And in each fading moment
We look back and thank
For all the pain there was…
There was even more joy…just so much
And as tears make their way
We set off into that place
into that sunset
that surely will be
the moment for you. . . and me.
I journey afar
in empty spaces
all in between
I pass so many faces
to be a part of nothing
yet to be a fabric of everything
name not to be remembered…
and so shall it be
a journey of one…
that is what they will see…
I will be there for you
we’ll walk together…just you and me
we’ll recount the years and the memories
and the wind will come
to blow your gentle hair once more
and the sky will be ablaze
to remind me how much I…I do….how much I…love you…
Many reflections, sometimes…just one finds you right…
In the night, in the sunsets of your mind…
Drifting away, forward you go
Look back you surely did…where love will always know…
That today is never lost, tomorrow is yet true…
I have found you. . .
